Grossglockner

The Grossglockner is, at 3,798 m above sea level, Austria's highest mountain and the highest mountain in the Alps east of the Brenner Pass. This makes it, after Mont Blanc, the second most prominent mountain in the Alps, when measured by relative height; see the list of Alpine peaks by prominence.

Uritorco

The Cerro Uritorco is a mountain (cerro) and highest peak of the Sierras Chicas chain in the northwest of the province of Córdoba, Argentina. It is located next to the Calabalumba River, three km from the center of the city of Capilla del Monte, and its summit is at 1,949 m above mean sea level. The name Uritorco means "Male Hill" in the aboriginal Comechingón language.
Since 1986 the Uritorco has been mentioned in media reports of UFO sightings, extraterrestrial visits, and visions of "parallel dimensions". The nearby Capilla del Monte and the base of the Uritorco attract many tourists interested in the alleged mystical/energetic qualities of the mountain and other paranormal phenomena, and a local artisan industry has developed around this topic.

Cerro Torre

Cerro Torre is one of the mountains of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field in South America. It is located in a region which is disputed between Argentina and Chile , west of Cerro Chalten (also known as Fitz Roy). The peak is the highest in a four mountain chain: the other peaks are Torre Egger (2,685 m), Punta Herron, and Cerro Stanhardt. The top of the mountain often has a mushroom of rime ice, formed by the constant strong winds, increasing the difficulty of reaching the actual summit.

Monte Pissis

Monte Pissis is an extinct volcano in La Rioja Province, Argentina. The mountain is the third-highest in the Western Hemisphere, and is located about 550 km north of Aconcagua.
Due to its location in the Atacama Desert, the mountain has very dry conditions with snow only remaining on the peak during winter. The mountain is very high and remote, and the ascent is a long hike.

Mercedario

Cerro Mercedario is the highest peak of the Cordillera de la Ramada range and the eighth highest mountain of the Andes. It is located 100 km to the north of Aconcagua, in the Argentine province of San Juan. It was first ascended in 1934 by Adam Karpiński and Wiktor Ostrowski, members of a Polish andinist expedition led by Konstanty Jodko-Narkiewicz.

El Chaltén

El Chaltén is a small mountain village in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. It is located in the riverside of Río de las Vueltas, within the Los Glaciares National Park (section Reserva Nacional Zona Viedma) at the base of Cerro Torre and Cerro Fitz Roy mountains, both popular for climbing. For this reason this village is well-visited by trekkers and climbers. The village was built purely for tourism purposes, in 1985. It is 200km north of El Calafate.

Cerro Catedral

Cerro Catedral is a mountain located 19 kilometres (12 miles) from San Carlos de Bariloche, and inside the Nahuel Huapí National Park, Patagonia, Argentina.
It holds one of the biggest ski centers in South America, with a skiable area of 2 km² (0.77 sq mi), over 100 km (62 miles) of ski runs, and a lift capacity of 22,200 skiers per hour. It is also very popular due to the almost constant magnificent view of the Nahuel Huapi lake. There are also a number of hotels and hostels at the foot of the mountain, and a summer hikers' hut call Refugio Lynch on one of the tops of the mountain.

Cerro Bonete

Cerro Bonete is a mountain in the north of the province of La Rioja, Argentina, near the provincial border with Catamarca. Its summit is 6,759 m above mean sea level, making it the fourth highest separate mountain in the Americas (after Aconcagua, Ojos del Salado and Monte Pissis). SRTM data disproves the frequently made claim that its summit is 6,872 m asl.

Cerro Bayo

Cerro Bayo is a mountain of the Andes range located 9 km from the town Villa La Angostura, Neuquén Province, Argentina, within the Valdivian temperate rain forests, in an area with numerous lakes. Currently the mountain is turistically exploited by a ski centre with 24 pists and 9 elevation means.

Aconcagua

At 6,962 metres (22,841 ft), Cerro Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the Americas, and the highest mountain outside Asia. It is located in the Andes mountain range, in the Argentine province of Mendoza. The summit is located about 5 kilometres from San Juan Province and 15 kilometres from the international border with Chile. It lies 112 km (70 mi) west by north of the city of Mendoza. Aconcagua is the highest peak in both the Western and Southern Hemispheres. It is one of the Seven Summits.
